Ha ha ha!
There you have it folks..... First time ever.... The unveiling of the Paranoid Android in KL. This post will be taken down in 3 days....
The face of a food fetish that absolutely adore Momijis and not rubber dolls. I know, I know, I have to lose a lot of weight.
And now, a poem I love, from my favourite contemporary poet. Dedicated to My First Love, puppy love... You know who you are...cackle cackle
P.S. All photos taken on location with my Panasonic Lumix LX3... My cheapo, quirky but lovable new cam.
First Love
translated by Joanna Trzeciak
They say
the first love is the most important.
That's very romantic
but it's not the case with me.
There was something between us yet there wasn't.
It transpired and expired.
My hands don't tremble,
when I stumble upon small mementos
or a stack of letters wrapped in twine
—not even a ribbon.
Our only meeting after all these years
is a conversation between two chairs
at a cold table.
Other loves
still breathe deeply within me.
This one lacks the breath to sigh.
But still, just the way it is,
it can do what the rest are not yet able to do:
unremembered
not even dreamt of
it accustoms me to death.

Awwww....why so shy? No need to take down la!
I LOVE this poem. It's so unromantic!! Kewl.
u luk fine. nigel is joining for makan btw.. :P
GUFFFFAW, what a hilarious post. see yew on sat.
LL: Glad you loved it. Czeslaw Milosz is another poet to love. Bukowski is different, a bit foul mouthed, and the Beat poets are also lovely, like Ginsburg, Gertrude Stein, and of course the enigmatic EE Cummings... I have a copy of Szymborska somewhere (duplicate... somebody bought it for me, but I already owned a copy). Will pass it to you once I find it. If you don't mind my mutilated copy.
Cannot keep photos for too long. My customers will be pissed to find out that I am having such a good time.
C and C: Ha ha... Hope you did not puke.
FBB: Hee... Heee...Glad you liked my gila2 sense of humour.
Marvin (I'm going to call you Marvin from now on on the blog for obvious reasons) ;-) You look fine. Looking forward to seeing you on Sat. Also, have you read FBB's postings?(Rhetorical question for effect hehe) The man's humour is right up your alley! ;-) And he's like that in real life too! As for having too good a time, you need customers who will have as good a time as you. Don't have worryworts as customers. Too depressing and life is too short! hahaha See you soon. Oh yes, and I second LLemongrass's comment. Keep the photo up!
You are the first person to correctly name me as Marvin, the depressed android. Ha ha... Yep. Instead of electric sheep, I will be dreaming of the makan this Sat. Been working 15 hour days recently, so am a bit blurred. Read FBB, and he is hilarious. Am really looking forward to meet you guys.
Good night and I leave you with Marvin's Lullaby
Now the world has gone to bed
Darkness won't engulf my head
I can see by infra-red
How I hate the night
Now I lay me down to sleep
Try to count electric sheep
Sweet dream wishes you can keep
How I hate the night
Yes, would love to read it (mutilated or dropped in toilet bowl...whatever), if you can find it. :-) Cya Sat, mate.
Signed,
Szymborska's latest fan
